All the components fit within the desk’s body allowing for easy transport.



Assembly 

The desk’s tensioning is inspired by the twisting rope used in Bow saws. Two saws on either side and a larger one connecting them.





Details
Buy taking pride in the details, and making joinery that pleases. My hope is to remove the chore from the task of assembly


Process

Sketchs to help find tasteful resolutions for the rectilinear joints, and mock ups to test the mechanism and correct proportions.  The leg components were han chiseled and the box assembly was made using the tablesaw. Everything was finsihed with a hand plane where possible.
